1:1 Support Staff (Communication)

Are you passionate about making a difference in a young person’s life?
 Woodpecker Court is seeking a dedicated and nurturing 1:1 Support Staff member (Communication) to support a student with complex communication needs to access learning, build independence, and feel fully included.

About the Role

This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you will work closely with one student, supporting their education, communication, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide personalised 1:1 educational and emotional support

Adapt learning and use sensory approaches to engage the student

Support communication using tools such as Grid or Widget

Encourage independence and positive behaviour through routines

Work alongside tutors, SENCO, therapists, and professionals
