Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator working at our Refuse Transfer Stations based in Tauranga, reporting to the Branch Manager.
In this varied role you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery (Loader, Digger and Forklift) to move, sort and compact materials safely and efficiently. You will complete daily VCR reports to ensure machines are safe and well maintained, and assist customers and site maintenance. This is a permanent, full‑time role of 45+ hours per week, 5 days a week.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- A clean class 2 licence with WTRF endorsements
- 2+ years of previous experience operating heavy machinery
- Health and safety‑mindful with strong multitasking ability
- Team player, fit, and enjoys working outdoors
- Supportive and respectful, able to interact well with customers
- Drive and motivation to learn and grow within the company
