Access Officer

We are looking for an Access Officer to join our busy North Pennines National Landscape team.

This vacancy is offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2029 (with the possibility of extension, subject to funding/business need).

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

The role includes:

• Working outdoors in the North Pennines National Landscape and UNESCO Global Geopark.
• Managing access to the countryside, including public rights of way structures and surfaces, national and long-distance trail management.
• Habitat management and working with volunteers.
• Significant periods working outdoors, sometimes alone in inclement weather at sites accessed only on foot, meeting the physical demands of the post.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

• Minimum Level 4 NVQ in Countryside Management or a directly related subject of comparable grade, and demonstrable relevant experience.
