Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual financial statements for trusts, companies, and sole proprietors
- Perform monthly bookkeeping and processing on Xero
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Manage SARS eFiling for a portfolio of clients
- Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and income tax returns
- Liaise with SARS on queries and submissions
- Process payroll and ensure statutory compliance (PAYE, UIF, SDL)
- Assist with basic audit and independent review work
- Prepare working papers and supporting documentation
- Communicate with clients and resolve queries
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (essential)
- Relevant accounting qualification (completed or well progressed)
- Experience within an accounting or auditing firm
