Responsibilities As a ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN, GS-0525-8, you will perform analysis on management systems and apply information to complicated cases to resolve accounting processing actions. Analyze and evaluate data to conduct fiscal reconciliations, reviews, and account adjustments. Reconcile accounting and budget data. Balance all Program Managers' accounts with the federal database of record. Analyze fiscal transaction problems/issues. Apply pertinent fiscal laws, regulations, precedent decisions, and procedures to determine appropriate action for resolution. Reconstruct inaccurate accounts, gather and organize information for inquiries and resolve problems.
