Accounts Receivable (AR) – Basic Functions
- Prepare and issue freight invoices for ocean freight, surcharges, demurrage, detention, and other shipping‑related charges.
- Ensure billing accuracy in line with contracts, tariffs, and customer agreements.
- Monitor customer accounts and maintain accurate AR records.
- Process and apply customer payments; resolve short payments and discrepancies.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections.
- Prepare and review AR aging reports and monitor overdue balances.
- Handle billing disputes and coordinate with sales, customer service, and operations for resolution.
- Manage customer credit limits and payment terms.
- Support month‑end closing, audits, and compliance requirements.
