Addictions Wellness Counsellor

Advisory: The role is an addictions & wellness counsellor providing leadership in the addictions field. The position reports to the Community Wellness Manager and focuses on prevention, education, intervention, and aftercare support within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify ongoing community needs related to addictions prevention, education, rehabilitation, and follow-up services
• Develop program objectives, procedures, and priorities aligned with departmental policies
• Deliver workshops and information sessions to youth, schools, and community groups
• Conduct regular home visits to clients participating in or referred to the program
• Coordinate prevention, treatment, referral, and aftercare support services
