Overview
The Lung Cancer Screening Administrative Assistant provides reception and routine administrative support to the Lung Cancer Screening Program, ensuring a professional, efficient, and patient‑focused service. The role supports patient booking, communication, and administrative processes, enabling patients to access Lung Health Check appointments and Low Dose CT scans in a timely and organised manner. It follows established processes, maintains accurate patient records, and supports patient flow through the administrative stages of the pathway. Clinical assessment or risk calculation is not included; these decisions are made by trained Patient Contact Assessors or clinical staff. The post is part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting patients from diverse backgrounds with clear, compassionate communication. The service operates six days a week.
