Job Description
This position is responsible for developing and improving machine and process designs, implementing new technologies, and transferring lessons learned to achieve optimal cost and quality in the manufacturing process.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Specify, develop, validate and install new equipment and tools.
- .Lead the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for an assigned area.
- .Utilize project management skills to plan and execute assigned projects; manage budget as required.
- .Understand & lead safety / ergonomic requirements.
- Implement manufacturing system best practices and common systems globally.
- Lead the implementation, support, and provide continuous improvement of lean and agile manufacturing systems.
- Estimate lead time and cost of capital equipment.
- Estimate lead time and cost of tooling, molds, and special equipment.
