The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) has responsibility integrating manufacturing expertise into the New Product Development process. The role ensures new products are designed for manufacturability, scalability, cost‑effectiveness, and quality. Acting as a technical liaison between product design, engineering, supply chain, and operations teams, the AME supports the transition from early concept to production launch.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the manufacturing voice in cross‑functional NPD teams from concept through launch
- Drive DFM, DFA and cost optimization into early product design
- Develop manufacturing process plans: process flow, equipment selection and layout
- Lead design, sourcing and qualification of tooling, fixtures and automation for new product introduction
