Advisor, Underwriting and Billing

Reporting to a Team Leader, PI Underwriting and Billing, this role is accountable for assisting Brokers and Customers with more complex inquiries and accommodation requests pertaining to underwriting, billing, products, and pricing. The incumbent will review and approve underwriting and billing exceptions in accordance with rules and authority levels, handle referrals that fall outside of other employees’ authority, and effectively communicate rationale for changes to risk appetite, products, and guidelines, as well as premium dislocation. Decisions on accommodation outcomes will be communicated to brokers, ensuring they understand the rationale behind our decisions.

The incumbent will process more complex transactions not enabled by broker self‑service functionality, including billing inquiries, new business, policy changes, claims alerts, reinstatement exceptions, and more, in accordance with underwriting guidelines and authority.
