Key Responsibilities

• Develop final construction plans that include aesthetic representations of the structure or details for its construction
• Prepare scale drawings or architectural designs
• Use computer-aided design tools and other technical drafting tools
• Prepare structure specifications and estimate construction costs and time
• Consult with clients to determine functional or spatial requirements of structures

Education and Experience Requirements

Architects must complete a professional degree from an accredited program approved by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
