Overview

Aspiring Child Counsellor role at Woking, supporting vulnerable students aged 4-19 with special educational needs (SEN) and associated social, emotional and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with SEN and related challenges, identifying risks and needs and escalating when necessary.
  • Provide consistent support and equip children with tools to feel safe, secure, and empowered.
  • Engage students to improve attainment and life chances.
  • Participate in on‑site training, support and CPD to perform duties and safeguard all students.

Qualifications

  • Degree or advanced study in Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Social Science, or a related field.
  • GCSE in English and Maths.
  • No previous professional experience required.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to commute to Woking.
