Job Responsibilities
- Conduct audiometric tests and examinations.
- Follow up with patients to ensure assigned remedial programs are correctly followed and completed.
- Diagnose the degree and type of hearing impairment.
- Provide information to patients and families regarding the nature, extent, impact and implications of hearing loss and treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree.
- Experience: Experience is an asset.
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
- Criminal record check.
Work Details
- Work setting: Diagnostic audiology in a hospital/medical facility or clinic.
- Ear mould impressions and modifications.
- Hearing aids selection and orientation.
- Audiometric testing.
- Amplification.
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
- Work term: Permanent.
- Work language: English.
