Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct audiometric tests and examinations.
  • Follow up with patients to ensure assigned remedial programs are correctly followed and completed.
  • Diagnose the degree and type of hearing impairment.
  • Provide information to patients and families regarding the nature, extent, impact and implications of hearing loss and treatment.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • Criminal record check.

Work Details

  • Work setting: Diagnostic audiology in a hospital/medical facility or clinic.
  • Ear mould impressions and modifications.
  • Hearing aids selection and orientation.
  • Audiometric testing.
  • Amplification.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
  • Work term: Permanent.
  • Work language: English.
