Job Description

Overview

This driver will transport, remove, deliver, and collect various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from customer sites. The Emergency Response Operator will respond to environmental and industrial spills, laboratory decommissioning, highway incidents, train derailments, marine operations, weather event responses, chemical assessments, and other hazardous material incidents. The operator will work alongside police, fire, EMS, Environment Canada, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Operate vacuum trucks, box trucks, and other equipment to collect hazardous wastes.
  • Load and unload trucks and perform routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Respond to spills, chemical leaks, and other hazardous incidents using boom deployment, boat operations, vacuum trucks, and water blasters.
  • Assist with emergency response operations, coordinating with police, fire, EMS, and environmental agencies.
