Job Description
Enhance patient safety as a full-time Biomedical Technologist with Sault Area Hospital. Deliver training, conduct inspections, and manage the lifecycle of medical equipment effectively.
This role involves providing vital services for patient-applied medical devices. You'll perform pre-acceptance checks, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and maintain service records through CMMS software. Strong customer service skills and a collaborative approach are essential for success in this dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform incoming inspections and pre-acceptance checks for equipment
• Test electro-medical devices ensuring proper functionality
• Conduct clinical training for staff on equipment use
• Evaluate new equipment recommendations and raise purchasing advice
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medical devices for safety
Requirements:
• Graduate of a recognized Biomedical Engineering program
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
