Overview
Cando is hiring a Switchperson responsible for effective rail car operations and safety at customer locations. This physical, outdoor role requires effective teamwork and initiative.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate locomotives following established protocols
- Conduct thorough checks of equipment and operating systems
- Maintain detailed records and operational documentation
- Offer support in all operational aspects on-site
- Promptly report any safety-related issues or concerns
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED needed
- Experience in a relevant industrial setting is a plus
- Ability to work extensive shifts in varying conditions
- Valid Class 5 driver's license an advantage
- Successfully pass drug and background screenings
