Cardiology Care Support Worker

Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the team within our Cardiology Department. The Cardiology Unit is a 26‑bed ward with both Cardio and General Medical patients, and the role also includes work in an 8‑bed CCU ward.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the registered nursing team by carrying out an extended range of assigned clinical tasks and direct patient care.
• Deliver high‑quality, patient‑focused care in a busy and demanding environment.
• Contribute to service development as a team player and work independently when required.
• Assist with associated administrative duties.
• Work on a rotational schedule, including days, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a healthcare setting.
• Completion of SVQ 3 preferred but not essential.
• Ability to adapt to change and work without direct supervision.
