Carpenter Helper

Responsibilities

• Measuring products to establish where cuts will be made
• Running equipment such as drills, saws, and various other power devices used to cut wood
• Cutting boards and planks of timber to defined dimensions using saws such as circular saws or table saws
• Installing drywall or other materials used in building and construction jobs
• Painting wall surfaces or other surface areas
• Installing wood molding or other wood cutting on wall surfaces or ceilings
• Setting up sheetrock or plasterboard in walls and ceilings using hammers, nails, trowels, and hand tools
• Helping woodworkers with more demanding tasks such as reducing large boards into smaller items or installing intricate cabinets and staircases
