This is a casual position – approximately 20 hours per week, with shifts from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The days in the clinic are adaptable.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director (Health Services) and supervised by the Nurse Supervisor, the primary responsibility of the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is to provide nursing care to patients registered to be seen in the Carleton University Health & Counselling Services.

Qualifications

• Must have counselling skills in areas such as sexuality, pregnancy options, travel medicine, and the ability to assess and support students in emotional distress or those experiencing a mental health crisis.
• Experience in emergency techniques must be maintained.
