Chef de Partie (CDP) – Continental




Role Summary


A CDP is responsible for a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauce, garde manger) and ensures high-quality preparation of Continental dishes.




Key Responsibilities


• Manage a specific station (e.g., grill, sauté, pastry, cold kitchen)


• Prepare and present dishes according to standards


• Ensure mise en place is ready for service


• Supervise Commis and DCDPs working in the section• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards


• Assist Sous Chef in daily operations




Skills & Requirements


• Expertise in a specific section of Continental cooking


• Strong organizational and multitasking skills


• Knowledge of classical cooking techniques (stocks, sauces, roasting, etc.)


• Experience: 3–5 years
