Job Description
A Heavy Mechanical Engineering concern is seeking a Machinist for their Manufacturing workshop environment. An individual exposed to Heavy Machinery and ability to handle Heavy Components.
Job Purpose:
To manufacture, machine, repair, and refurbish components to specified dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards through the safe and efficient operation of conventional and/or CNC machine tools.
The incumbent is responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, setting up machinery, selecting appropriate tooling, machining components to specification, conducting in-process inspections, and ensuring products meet customer, OEM-equivalent, and quality requirements.
The role contributes directly to production output, quality performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 (Matric) + Trade Test: Machinist
