Job Description

The CNC Machinist/Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines in a safe and efficient manner, finishing product accurately so as to reduce non-compliance pieces and working effectively with the Supervisor and other team members to get orders completed and shipped on time. The CNC Machinist/Operator reports to the Plant Supervisor.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Role accountabilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Interpret production order information, including part descriptions, material grade, documents and drawings.
  • Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to operate machines in a responsible, diligent and efficient manner. Update and sign off production orders as required.
  • Understand the sequence of operations for a production order.
  • Carry out work order instructions to program machines to customer specifications.
