Sownd Affects is the company behind the world's first Audio Inclusivity Certification Standard - the industry's only live certification for how spaces sound. Around 60% of adults are noise sensitive, yet almost no spaces are designed with that in mind. A Sownd Certified space is one where people can hear, converse and connect comfortably - and stay longer. Everyone benefits, starting with the noise sensitive.
After 8 years of R&D funded by the UK government, we now give architects, acoustic consultants and interior designers a measurable framework validated by ISVR at Southampton University to set, validate and deliver sound design goals, with three certification tiers and annual renewal keeping every certification live. Our model is partner-led - who bring Sownd Certification to the spaces they create - with 35 markets open to us through the network. We're a small, AI-native team that needs to move fast.
