Job Summary:
The Communication Security (COMSEC) Custodian /Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO) supports the implementation and oversight of all security measures required under 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM), NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3 16, and other applicable Federal regulations governing the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and National Security Agency (NSA) requirements.
This role provides comprehensive security support across multiple disciplines, including physical security, access control, daily security inquiries, incident investigations, personnel security, operational security, and asset protection. The AFSO/COMSEC Custodian will facilitate all aspects of the COMSEC Material Control System, including inventory management, safeguarding, accounting for classified and unclassified COMSEC controlled cryptographic items (CCIs), and maintaining all required COMSEC documentation and records...
