Community Peace Officer Level 1

Reporting to the Supervisor, Municipal Enforcement, the Community Peace Officer Level I is responsible for enforcing provincial statutes and municipal bylaws for the City of Fort Saskatchewan and investigating inquiries and public complaints including animal control.

Responsibilities

• Comply with and support Municipal Enforcement policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
• Provide professional testimony in Court and prepare/produce evidence to support prosecutions.
• Promote and enhance traffic safety and the Municipal Enforcement Traffic Safety Plan through conventional traffic enforcement, commercial vehicle enforcement and the use of driver feedback signs.
• Conduct directed or pro‑active bike, foot and vehicle patrols to enhance the security of the community.
