Job Summary

Prepare and serve quality Western cuisine by following recipes and specifications while controlling costs and ensuring workplace safety and hygiene in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food products by following cooking and presentation recipes and specifications accurately
  • Control food cost by minimizing spoilage, wastage, and managing portion sizes effectively
  • Inspect all perishable food items received to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain workplace safety and hygiene by following established protocols
  • Perform regular upkeep and maintenance of kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, utensils, and ovens to ensure proper working condition
Preferred competencies and qualifications
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar kitchen or food preparation role
  • Good understanding of Western cuisine cooking techniques and ingredients
