Citizen consumer and civic Action Group (CAG) is a non-profit, non-political and professional

organisation that works towards protecting citizens' rights in consumer and environmental

issues and promoting good governance processes including transparency, accountability and

participatory decision-making.

Project description

CAG is implementing a rooftop solar consumer awareness and advocacy initiative in Tamil

Nadu in collaboration with sector partners. The project focuses on increasing informed adoption

of rooftop solar among households, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), and communities

by bridging information gaps, improving consumer confidence, and strengthening ecosystem

linkages.

The initiative combines on-ground awareness, technical guidance, stakeholder engagement,

and policy advocacy to support schemes such as PM Surya Ghar and state-led solar

campaigns.
