Job Description

Qualifications

  • SAICA articles (completed/signed off within the last two years)
  • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of accounting Verbal and written communication
  • Experience in accounting treatment of future contracts, derivatives and SAFEX transactions

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of purchase and sale transactions, including all ancillary items
  • Provide management with feedback on the results of the analysis
  • Identification and reporting of risks/shortfalls
  • Confirm the accuracy of month-end calculations and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with group policies, applicable regulations, VAT and tax legislation, and assist internal and external auditors when required
  • Assistance with the preparation of annual budgets
  • Ensure proper filing and record-keeping of documents
