Job Summary
The Cost Control Engineer oversees the financial health of aluminum and façade fabrication projects. This role bridges engineering, procurement, and finance by tracking raw material usage, labor productivity, fabrication overheads, and subcontractor billing to maximize profitability and minimize waste.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Cost Structuring
- Prepare detailed project budgets based on Bill of Quantities (BOQ), architectural drawings, and raw material requirements.
- Develop comprehensive Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) aligned with the project's Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Establish standardized costing for specific items like aluminum profiles, glazing systems, and cladding .
Cost Monitoring & Variance Analysis
- Track actual expenditures (material consumption, labor hours, factory downtime) against the baseline budget.
