Key Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and optimize IBM Db2 for z/OS databases. Perform performance tuning using EXPLAIN, SQL analysis, catalog reviews, Main View, and Query Monitor. Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions. Troubleshoot database, SQL, locking, catalog, and performance issues. Implement database security, access controls, authentication, and auditing. Design schemas, indexing strategies, normalization, and capacity planning. Support production, test, and development environments. Collaborate with application teams and provide technical guidance. Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with IBM Db2 for z/OS administration. Expertise in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.
