Design Engineer

MAJOR FUNCTIONUnder general supervision, the Design Engineer applies principles and techniques of mechanical engineering and analysis in designing components, systems, and mechanical functions for floor maintenance products.
Other tasks include component selection and specifying test procedures for components and assemblies for the purpose of evaluating the suitability, performance and reliability of prototype and production models.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesDesigns components and systems using CAD and other computer calculation tools to satisfy project objectivesInteracts with suppliers and operations personnel to assure components meet requirements specifications and are optimized for efficient assemblyAssists in defining component, system and machine test plans and interprets resultsPerforms engineering analysis as required to predict behavior of proposed designs and to resolve design issuesCreates and catalogs appropriate engineering documents during design timefra...
