Job Overview
As a Detention Custody Manager, you will lead a team of officers to ensure the safety, dignity and wellbeing of residents in our care. This is a varied, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will balance security and operational standards with a strong focus on care, welfare and resident engagement.
Main Duties
Lead, support and develop a team of custody officers to deliver high standards of care and professionalism.

Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect, with a safe environment that promotes their welfare.

Oversee daily routines, staff deployment, and compliance with operational and emergency procedures.

Manage risk, resolve conflict, and respond to incidents in line with training and policy.

Monitor and report on resident welfare, escalating concerns around health and wellbeing where necessary.
