Job Description



Purpose:
The Digital and Library Support Assistant provides customer service to patrons onsite at the Markham Library, under the direction of the Digital Development Supervisor.

Education:
Minimum completion of the first year in a post-secondary program in information technology, computer science, humanities, social sciences, or fine arts, to acquire relevant technical skills.

Experience:


Skills:

- Proficient with media editing software including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Audacity, and OpenShot.
- Proficient with makerspace related software such as Prusa Slicer and Lightburn.
- Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Google Calendar and Dropbox.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
- Effective communication skills.
