Direct Material Buyer (Raw Material)

**Direct Material Buyer****Purpose****Key activities and responsibilities**:- Identification of cost reduction opportunities through the study of historical and projected material consumption.
- Interaction with the different functional areas (Engineering, Materials, Manufacturing) to understand business needs and ensure that this is reflected in negotiated contracts- Development of win/win relationships with suppliers to enable ECI to achieve the objectives identified in the business plan.
- Analysis of direct material spend list- Classification of spend by category- Development of cost reduction plans and tactics aligned with category strategy- Execution of quotations and negotiations according to strategy- Implementation of long-term contracts that generate year-over-year price reductions- Assisting operational buyers in resolving supplier issues**Qualifications**:- A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required.
