Overview

The Library and Information Service (LIS) at Stellenbosch University (SU) comprises the central library and four branch libraries, as well as departmental collections. LIS aims to be a dynamic leader in the academic library environment, providing client‑centred services, skilled staffing, advanced technology, and high‑quality collections. This role seeks a senior manager to lead research support services and enhance the university’s research impact.

Responsibilities

• Assume overall responsibility for leading, managing, and developing four research services sections: Research Impact, Research Commons, Research Data Services, and Access Scholarship, as well as Quality Management at LIS.
• Effectively manage LIS’s strategies relating to research support services and quality assurance.
