Job Description
To assist the Foreman / Supervisor in the execution of his/her function in production drilling
Receive Foreman / Supervisor
Ensure that a full pre check inspection is done on the machine before operating drill machine
Complete a pre - start checklist before operating drill machine
Tramming and operating the drill machine in different areas on the mine
Ensure that the fire extinguisher is in working order
Ensure that the drill machine is clean inside the cab and outside
Marking and measuring the drilling area for drilling and blasting purposes
Report any damages to the machine immediately
Help with removal and fitment of pipe roping
Ensure excellent operating through compliance with health and safety standards
Report any damages to the drill machine
Communicate with personnel effectively in order that instructions are carried out properly
