Electrical Engineer - Short Term (Hiring Immediately)

JOB TITLE: Electrical Engineer - Wire Harness Design (Contract) JOB SUMMARY: Planet is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a short-term, part-time project. This individual will translate customer-provided engineering drawings into actionable, internal production documentation for in-house manufacturing. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Review complex customer schematics, technical drawings, and source control documents. - Translate external customer designs into internal engineering standards. - Create detailed documentation for internal wire harness fabrication and assembly. - Define precise manufacturing steps including cutting, stripping, crimping, and labeling. - Select and verify equivalent internal components, connectors, backshells, and wire types. - Generate comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) for procurement and production. - Collaborate with internal technicians to troubleshoot assembly queries.
