Job Description
Responsibilities Perform commissioning tasks on electrical systems including switchboards, transformers, motors, and lighting systems. Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, and functional tests to ensure system integrity. Diagnose and rectify electrical faults during commissioning and start-up phases. Record test results, prepare commissioning reports, and maintain compliance documentation. Ensure adherence to offshore HSE standards, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and permit-to-work systems. Work closely with commissioning foremen, engineers, and other discipline technicians to achieve project milestones. Requirements Requirements Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 35 years of offshore electrical commissioning experience. Strong knowledge of Ex-rated equipment, cable glanding, and termination practices. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and commissioning procedures.
