What You'll Do
You will lead and contribute across the full machine design cycle — from requirements capture through to prototype testing and design documentation.
- Lead electrical machine design – specify, design, and engineer large rotating electrical machines; understand and resolve contractual and technical requirements in a timely, quality‑focused manner; and create and submit design documentation.
- Drive analysis and simulation – lead detailed analytical and finite element analysis (FEA) using tools including ANSYS/Workbench to assess electromagnetic performance, mechanical stress, and structural integrity across machine designs.
- Improve noise, vibration, and performance – lead design model and prototype test programmes to characterise and improve noise and vibration behaviour; investigate new materials and manufacturing methods to enhance machine competitiveness.
