As part of the Coherent Modem Transmission Electro‑Optic R&D group, you will join a team responsible for developing the electro‑optic transmission system for Ciena’s coherent optical modems. You will participate in active research and development projects while gaining hands‑on experience in a professional lab environment. Responsibilities
Perform hands‑on lab characterization and measurement of advanced optical devices. Develop Matlab scripts for test automation, simulation, and data analysis. Model and simulate electro‑optic components and subsystems to predict performance. Collaborate with firmware, PCB, and DSP design teams to support system integration. Qualifications
