Join the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) as an Energy Management Systems Engineer. Help ensure reliable power grid operations while working in a mixed office and remote environment.
This role is a 2-year fixed term within the Operations Systems department. As an integral part of the Data Management team, you will support real-time grid operations through the Energy Management Systems (EMS). Your ability to troubleshoot, update models, and engage in collaborative problem-solving will be essential for maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement EMS model updates to reflect grid changes
• Propose process improvements for EMS efficiency
• Address display issues for real-time power systems
• Provide on-call support for EMS outside of hours
