Join Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) as an Engineer focused on power system operations coordination. This full-time role emphasizes advanced power system analysis in a hybrid model.
Reporting to the Manager of Operations Coordination, you will play a vital role in analyzing system conditions, developing operational plans, and providing critical support to System Controllers. Your expertise will help facilitate Alberta’s competitive electricity market while ensuring reliable and safe power system operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct operational studies to support emergent system events
• Collaborate with technical groups on analytic studies
• Provide technical operating guidance to AESO System Controllers
• Produce operational reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Enhance operational processes and coordination tools
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• 4-5+ years’ experience in electric system operations
