Role and Facility Information

The Kamloops Urgent Primary Care and Learning Centre (UPCLC) sees patients who might normally go to a family doctor or nurse practitioner for their ailment if an appointment had been available. Patients will typically be seen by a physician, but may also be seen by a physiotherapist, a nurse, a social worker or other clinician, depending on the nature of their injury or illness. Team‑based care is available by referral at the Urgent Primary Care Centre for non‑life threatening illnesses or injuries that need same‑day care. This is not a walk‑in clinic.
