Field Mapping Technician
Full-Time in Houston, TX - Associate
Genex Systems is seeking an entry level or intermediate GIS Specialist to support NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC), in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will support field data collection from cradle to grave, working with the Team Lead, Measurement Technicians, and GIS Analysts to collect data throughout JSC.
This position is located onsite at NASA JSC and requires the candidate to regularly work on site.
Position Tasks:
+ Use field survey hardware and software to collect data points, lines, polygons and associated attribute data
+ Provide recommendations for data collection methods
+ Utilize Geospatial software (ESRI Suite) to process data according to project needs
+ Work independently and within a team to collect field data on larger projects
+ Field verify Facility Housing Plans (FHP)
