Become a key player in building safety and compliance at Flower City Community Campus as a Plans Examiner. This full-time role requires thorough plans inspection and client interaction.
The Plans Examiner position, within the Planning, Building & Growth Management department, calls for individuals proficient in reviewing plans of commercial and institutional buildings. Your expertise will guide clients through the Ontario Building Code regulations, ensuring adherence to safety and compliance regulations. You will also prepare technical reports and foster collaboration among stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review plans against the Ontario Building Code thoroughly
• Liaise with architects and contractors on compliance issues
• Provide technical guidance to clients through various communication methods
• Recommend necessary changes for compliance with construction plans
• Update project reviews in the tracking system
