Overview
Insight Global is seeking a Frontend Developer skilled in Flutter for one of Canada's largest independent retailers. The successful candidate will be working on the store systems team to support the modernization of their in-house POS system used across hundreds of stores. We're looking for someone who's comfortable with hardware integrations (scanners, printers, PIN pads), building offline-first UIs, and optimizing for performance and stability in long-running store sessions. Responsibilities
Develop robust Flutter/Dart applications across mobile and desktop platforms (not mobile-only). Work with Flutter desktop experience or working knowledge of .NET/C# and Linux/Unix environments. Understand Flutter’s native state and UI architecture and build resilient UIs. Contribute to retail or POS-style front ends (sales, returns, inventory, operations). Build offline-tolerant, resilient UIs for store environments. Consume backend APIs in unreliable network conditions...
