Job Description

  • Must posses a valid food service sanitation certificate
  • Experience in quantity cooking
  • Ability to follow purchasing procedures
  • Ability to relate well to staff and students
  • Ability to adjust standardized recipes for given lunch count
  • Knowledge of nutritional requirements of children as it relates to the Federal guidelines of school lunch
  • Ability to follow through to ensure that consistent and quality food products are prepared and served

Responsibilities

  • Keep accurate records
  • Plan and assist in preparation of foods using methods which reatin nutritive value
  • Ensure that sanitary practices are followed in food preparation, service and clean up
  • Coordinate and oversee food service operations.
