Help combat senior isolation by becoming a Friendly Visitor volunteer at Mon Sheong, located in Whitchurch-Stouffville. Your presence can transform lives through companionship and engagement.
As a Friendly Visitor, you'll offer vital emotional support to residents, facilitating activities that nurture social connections and reduce loneliness. This ongoing volunteer opportunity allows for immediate engagement and offers flexible scheduling of 3-4 hour shifts, over a minimum six-month commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in shared activities with residents
• Promote social connectedness and emotional support
• Remain reliable and adaptable to situations
• Provide respectful and compassionate care

Requirements:
• At least 16 years of age
• Proficient communication in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin
