F/W 26/27 - Swim Instructor

Purpose:
The Swim Instructor is responsible for teaching and evaluating candidates in aquatic programs and providing effective supervision of the pool and pool area during operation.

Education:
Must be enrolled as a York student. Successful completion of all York University required trainings, included but not limited to WHMIS, AODA and Health and Safety Training.Current National Lifeguard certificate (as per Lifesaving Society, Ontario Branch)Standard First Aid with CPR C (as per Regulation , WSIB) from one of the following national partners Lifesaving Society, Red Cross and St. John Ambulance.Current aquatic instructor award from recognized service provider (Lifesaving Society).Current Standard First Aid with CPR C from one of the following national partners Lifesaving Society, Red Cross and St. John Ambulance.
